somewhat dubious streak offailing to place a man first in a meet Kent State gave the harriers one of their toughest meets of the year and the team had to post its best performance nf the year in order to win Again the Yeomen won on the 0 Aanih oc the first basis oi sup JTu I five men pacca ujr uuu uc I 2210 finished within 22 seconds of each other DeLong Is Back The other bright spot in the yeoman victory was the return of Karl DeLong to top form In the meets to come he will be aninvaluable aid to the team At this point in the season the Yeomen have three meets left The first of these is on Saturday when the Harriers meet Earlham at Earlham The Earlham squad is coached by Dan Kinsey formerly of Oberlin and is undefeated this year Earlham Has Depth Too The Earlham squad has based its winning formula on the same foundations as Oberlin They have no front runner but do have very good squad depth In their last meet their first five men finished within 32 seconds of each other Thus the 59 season as tney lace their four most difficult foes in their last four games The list reads Earlham Akron Denison and Fenn in Al A 1 Tl mat oraer every one ot these teams defeated the Crimson last year except Fenn which did not play Oberlin However 1 1 rewi naa a ii mam last Jim Wolfe trots home to lead the Yeomen to a 2631 victory over Westminster Wolfefinished second and the Yeomen put on a typical display ofsolidarity to back him up and take the win The Crimson runners have not captured first place yet this year although their squad depth has enabled them to win every meet vear and is
